The final show for the 2023 Woodstock Summer Concert Series is Drivin N Cryin on Saturday, September 9th at 7:30 pm in the Northside Hospital Cherokee Amphitheater. City of Woodstock's 9/11 Day of Remembrance Ceremony takes place Monday, September 11th at 6pm in the Park at City Center. The Regular Meeting of Mayor and Council scheduled for Monday, September 11th is cancelled.

Public Hearing: Emergency and Regular Ordinance Adopting an Extension to Moratorium for I-575 & Sixes Road Interchange Area
(Hannah Menard)Staff recommends that the City Council adopt an Emergency and Regular Ordinance extending the development moratorium for the I-575 and Sixes Road Interchange Area until October 31, or the adoption of the Updated Comprehensive Plan, whichever comes first. The Emergency Ordinance would take effect immediately. The Regular Ordinance would take effect after 2nd reading on September 18. The original Regular Ordinance expires on September 14.
Public Hearing & Vote: A#118-23 - 201 Brownlee Road - Rezoning
(Tracy Albers)Attorney Parks Huff, on behalf of Dossey, LLC, has submitted an application for the annexation of 201 Brownlee Road (parcel 15N11025), currently zoned R-40 (single-family residential) in Cherokee County. Upon annexation, the parcel would be rezoned from County R-40 to City DT-MR-A (Downtown-Medium Density Residential). The Applicant also requests a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for attached housing (townhomes) and Variances to site and architectural standards in the LDO. The application would allow for the construction of an 88-unit single-family and townhome project.
Staff recommends City Council approval of the proposed project, subject to the staff-recommended conditions of approval, which includes two additional conditions recommended by the Planning Commission. The DPC and Planning Commission recommend approval of the proposed project.
If approved, the decision would not take effect until September 18, 2023 (2nd Reading of the Charter Amendment Ordinance).
